As far back as I can remember I have found a need to escape my feelings and myself. As a child, I lived with an alcoholic father, a highly-strung mother and three siblings.

European and American scientists have discovered a way to send information back in time. In fact, they have perfected their technologies through almost an unlimited source of research and development funds coming from two great sources; the military's black projects fund and Wall Street. What they've done is worked with an investment banking firm which has hired out some of the "quants" (personal friends of the scientists) working in the high-speed trading rooms in Manhattan buildings which sit on top of Internet hubs, and they place their trades just prior to major news events which end up shaking the markets, having future knowledge of such events guarantees an endless stream of cash.

The Lark in Shakespeare
Chaucer, Spenser, Milton, Shelley and Wordsworth all shared with Shakespeare's adoration for the skylark. In A Winter's Tale: "The lark that tirra-Iirra chants"; in Romeo and Juliet: "It was the lark, the herald of the morn"; in Cymbeline: Hark! Hark! The lark in "Lawn as white as driven snow; Cyprus black as e'er was crow."

In his science fiction short story we will discuss an alien species that is more advanced than human civilizations, which lives underground, and under the ocean in the deepest depths. Their species is very similar to humans, but they cannot interbreed with humans without genetic manipulation. This other race has life-spans in excess of 800-years, or as long as they choose within that time frame.

This is a Science Fiction Short Story, so let me set the stage. The year is 2433 and the instructor is Professor L. Winthrop XIV, who is the professor of the Advanced BioScience Graduate Studies and head of the Bio Lab in the "Crick Building" and he is about to address the new graduate class here at MIT.

Greek Mythology - A Treasure Trove of Intrigue, Drama, and Passion
Ancient Greek mythology has always fascinated me. Ever since I was a teenager I have been drawn to the stories and lore associated with Greek mythology. In my eyes, there's no other history, culture, or back-story that is as complete and classical as that found within Greek mythology.
