Rise Against Drummer Hires Green Designer For Home

“Green is responsible, and as a consumer, we believe it is right to live according to our values,” says Barnes.

Green design is becoming mainstream as consumers like the Barnes make decisions to purchase products that are good for the environment.

“As the economy batters the businesses of interior designers and architects, for them to survive and thrive, their practices must start addressing this growing consumer trend,” says Gail Doby, Co-Founder of the Green Design Summit and Design Success University. Doby will be conducting the interview of Laurel Quint and the Barnes on June 10th.

82% of Americans surveyed believe it is “important for companies to implement environmentally friendly practices,” according to McGraw Hill.

In fact, in an AMA survey conducted by Fleishman Hillard International Communicatons, 63% of the surveyed businesses either strongly agree or tend to agree that the policies of the Obama administration will accelerate the adoption of sustainability programs.

“We are providing a series of free teleseminars leading up to our Green Design Summit in June for architects and designers. We’ll share how green can help their practices grow especially during the recession. In fact, we’ll discuss the tax benefits for consumers and how our industry can educate and encourage our clients to make environmentally-friendly choices and save money at the same time,” said Doby.
