In order to go into detail about different camping chairs we want to look at… we must first understand what a camping chair is and it’s function.
Sometimes, for amusement and an escape from the world, people go on long trips into the wilderness. This is sometimes done with a car, or even just a backpack. People like to do this in order to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. But, unfortunately, nature is not so kind to our backsides.
History
Thus, an invention was made in which a very early human neanderthal brought a rock around that he found comfortable. Through the centuries the rock evolved into a log, or a net, or a piece of plastic until it took the shape we all know today.
Now, thanks to the genius of mankind’s need for comfort, we have comfortable chairs in which to take with us when we enjoy the wide open world.
Types of Camping Chairs
Sometimes these chairs are plastic, sometimes they are a simple cloth strung between two trees, but all of these marvelous objects are used for our personal comfort.
Depending on the trip you will be taking, you may desire a completely cloth hammock. Other times you may prefer a tougher, folding type of chair. the type of chair you desire will be based on it’s comfort, it’s weight, and it’s ease of construction.
Comfort
Comfort, as we have discussed, is a vital part of a chair. It is what first started the chair on it’s explosive evolution and subsequent arrival in the camping world. In order to have a comfortable chair you must decide on the kind of chair that suites you. Some folks like a tougher seat, while others enjoy a soft, cushion-like feel.
Weight
The weight of this chair is almost as important as it’s comfort. In order to take a chair camping you must carry it with you. Whether that is in a car or on your back makes all the difference. If you were traveling in a car or truck you have more free choice on you chair needs. Depending on room, you could take a big wooden chair or even a rocking chair. but if you were planning on hiking around while carrying your camping chair you may prefer to have a lighter, more practical chair like a pillow or a cloth hammock.
Ease of Construction
It is also important to make sure you are not taking a chair that is not right for the environment. for instance, you wouldn’t take a hammock to the desert where there are no trees to string it to, and you wouldn’t take a liquid filled chair to the north pole. Ease of construction and the environment it will be used in is a very important factor to consider when choosing a camping chair.
Conclusion
In this site you will find posts and information on different styles of chairs, their usefulness and their practicality. Keep reading, and always remember to sit and enjoy the scenery!

The Tabernacle: Camping with God $13.27 "The title of this book takes me back to my boyhood days in Angola," writes the author in his foreword, "where as the son of missionary parents I knew what it was to trek and camp for weeks on end. . . . My father would lead family worship at dawn and then conduct a Bible study at dusk. . . . One particular series that I have never forgotten was on the Tabernacle in the wilderness. I can still visualize the scene as we sat, with African carriers, around the campfire outside our tent . . . the ‘missionary’s tent’ served to represent the presence of God–as the Scriptures were unfolded and applied by the Holy Spirit we had] an experience of camping with God." This book opens modern readers to the world of the children of Israel, helping them to view the Tabernacle as they did. They will see the "tent" in which God camped with His people, revealing His purpose, power, and glory. They will discover that every detail of the Tabernacle points to Christ and will be reminded of the words of Augustine: "The New is in the Old concealed. The Old is by the New revealed."Connects the Old Testament story to the New TestamentWell-established author with international ministry forumHighlights one of Scripture’s most pervasive topicsThis printing revives a highly-referenced and much sought-after resource |

Camping $9.67 Who can forget their first camping trip? "Holidays, lolling days. Mom wishes for museums and art galleries. Dad talks about fancy hotels. My sister Laurie wants malls, anywhere. Duncan dreams of arcades. And I long for Disneyland." This year wonat be like the others. There will be no paintings or fluffy towels, clothes racks, jackpots or mouse ears. Nancy and her family are going camping. Just the thought of camping is bad enough. Outhouses, mosquito bites, burnt food and lots of workawhat kind of holiday is that? But from the moment their campsite is established, the family slowly begins to discover the magic of life in the wild. Nights so quiet and dark, itas like being wrapped in a blanket. Food that warms the stomach and awakens the senses. Swimming in the lake, climbing trees and lolling in the sun. And millions, no, bajillions of stars. More time, less oaclock. Thatas what camping is about. |
