Online sportsbooks have installed the American League as -120 money line favorites over the National League +110 in Tuesday night’s All Star Game 2010 odds from Angels Stadium in Anaheim, CA. The All Star game betting over/under total for the 81st Mid-Summer Classic was set at 8.5 with the UNDER at -105 and the OVER at -115. The run line has the American League -1.5 (+160) and the National League +1.5 (-190). The American League has been dominant with a 13 game unbeaten streak heading into All Star game 2010 odds in which they have not lost since the 1996 game with the only blemish being the infamous tie between the leagues in 2002.
As you would expect for an All Star game, both starting lineups are loaded with power. Unlike a generation ago pitchers go no more than an inning or two and there are far more frequent substitutions for the hurlers. Joe Mauer of the Minnesota Twins headlines the American League lineup in the 2010 All Star game. Mauer is a catcher that has been in and out with injuries this year and hitting .293 with 4 home runs and 35 runs batted in. Mauer is also a 4-time MLB All Star and collected the third highest amount of votes for all time.
“Mr. Yankee” Derek Jeter returns for his 11th All Star game appearance and is hitting .274 with 8 home runs and 43 runs batted in. Six Yankees made the team. Albert Pujols of the St. Louis Cardinals was the top National League vote getter for the fourth time in his career. He is one of 5 Redbirds to get the call for Tuesday’s Classic. It will be Pujols’ ninth All Star appearance. He is hitting .308 with 21 home runs and 64 runs batted in. Home town Angel heroes on the roster include pitcher Jered Weaver, and outfielder Tori Hunter.

Anaheim 1940-2007 $19.78 After the developments that the World War II era brought to the small agricultural community of Anaheim, the major transformation arrived in 1955. Anaheim changed forever from a sleepy and proud little town into the center for entertainment and tourism in Southern California with the arrival of Disneyland. Other national and regional businesses and franchises arrived in and around this Orange County anchor cityincluding the California Angels baseball club, the Anaheim Convention Center, and such aerospace giants as Boeing and Rockwell Internationaland Anaheim grew exponentially. This collection of more than 200 vintage and contemporary images depict the results of Anaheims far-sighted elected and business leaders, who nurtured the city from its agrarian roots and made it into one of the nations fastest growing cities in the 1960s. |
